Writers & Artists: Submission Guidelines
If you’re just arriving at this page, first have a look at the Summary and Welcome Message to get some background on Extraordinarium Digital Press. Use the menu to the right to navigate through the contents. Note: Call for Submissions closed until mid-2015. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) How can I buy the ebooks? They will be available here on the Extraordinarium website to purchase using a secure service, Gumroad, as well as through various online book resellers including Amazon, Apple iBookstore, and Barnes & Noble. Full details on sales will be posted when the books are launched starting in March 2014. Can I give an ebook as a gift? If you do, it is probably best to purchase it directly from the website and have it sent to the recipient’s e-mail directly. Purchasing an ebook gift on a third-party reseller does not guarantee that the recipient will accept the specific book you wish to give to them; they can choose to have the ebook value transferred into a credit that they can use to purchase whatever they want from the reseller. How many works get accepted per year by the digital press? Since Extraordinarium Digital Press is new, we are taking our time to produce high quality works, and therefore, at least initially, we will start slowly. We are currently looking at publishing one title every month or two. How long would it take to publish a book from the time it is accepted? That depends on the level of development, the amount of editing required, as well as design and distribution. Each work has a different timeframe that will be worked out with the accepted author. We aim to be efficient. Will you offer printed books? At the moment, Extraordinarium Digital Press is focusing exclusively on releasing ebooks. We are open to working with authors to arrange print-on-demand versions of their books, as well as working with print-only publishers who may be interested in releasing print versions of our books. But we are not really looking at doing this in 2014.
